Professor William McDonald

Professor William F. McDonald earn his doctorate in criminology in 1970 at the University of California, Berkeley and his bachelors in Liberal Studies at the University of Notre Dame in 1964.  He is Professor and Chair of Sociology.  He team taught with Hugh Cloke in American Studies from 1988 to 2008.  He has authored or edited 8 books on crime and justice.  His most recent work is The Criminal Victimization of Immigrants, Palgrave Macmillan, 2018. He is currently an Associate Editor for Oxford University Press’s Encyclopedia of Crime and Justice.
